About Me

Hi! I'm Sonakshi, and I work as an Associate Consultant at Microsoft.

At Microsoft, I work in the Cloud & AI org with EMEA customers in the Data and AI space. I specialize in data engineering projects using Azure Fabric, building robust data pipelines and designing scalable solutions that deliver actionable insights to customers, using their data.

I graduated from Manipal University Jaipur with a Bachelor of Technology where I was awarded the Academic Gold Medal for securing the highest CGPA in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. I was consistently awarded with the Dean's List Excellence in Academics from the 1st to the 8th semester for scoring a GPA of +9. I have also been awarded the Student Excellence Award thrice for service towards community and early industry experiences.

I completed my schooling from Delhi Public School, Navi Mumbai where I was awarded the Scholar's Badge from grade VI to XII for scoring 90% and above in each grade. I was also conferred with the Blue Tie, Blue Blazer, and the Academic Gold Medal for my academic achievements. I secured the 2nd position at DPSNM in both class X and class XII board examinations out of +240 students.

My other interests include volunteering to support women in technology. I was conferred with the IEEE Women in Engineering Outstanding Student Volunteer Award by the IEEE Delhi Section in 2024. I'm also passionate about Human-Computer Interaction, digital accessibility, and developing technical solutions for children with learning disabilities.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) provide recommendations for creating accessible digital content. This project inputs the hex codes for the background and foreground colors and checks for the three criteria listed by WCAG to improve digital accessibility. Furthermore, an AI-powered model (Qwen/QwQ-32B-Preview) sourced from HuggingFace gives foreground color recommendations to improve readability and pass the WCAG criteria.

This application allows users to find the closest food donation banks in Mumbai based on their PIN code. By utilizing a .CSV file containing a list of food banks centered in Mumbai, the app identifies the five nearest food donation banks and visualizes the shortest route from the user's location to each food bank using Folium, OSMnx, and NetworkX.
